Another school year has begun, and man it doesn't get any easier on Mom, does it? Last year, Josh was in half - day Kindergarten and out by 11:30. That made the transition so much smoother.
Now he's in school until almost 2:00, and he's there for lunch, everyday! Why does this cause me anxiety? He was just fine and so excited about it.
We've adjusted back to the early bed-time, and Josh was up today before the alarm. Look how independent he looks! He hardly needs me... sniff, sniff
We started the family walk in the double stroller. Then we quickly realized that one tire was almost flat. Good thing we left early.
Daddy quickly changed strollers and ran to catch up to us :)
This picture with Josh and his teacher cracks me up! He's so shy that he can't even bring himself to look at the camera, but he knows he's supposed to, so he's trying his best. We laughed at the picture when we got home.
He had a great day, although it was painful to have to recount every detail of his day to his mama when he got home. You know I asked a million questions, and Alvin just asked, "How was it?" Josh said, "Good," and that was the end of their conversation. Poor Josh has to endure his all of his mama's questions, suggestions, and helpful hints. Good thing that he loves school and can't wait to go back tomorrow, despite all of my baseless worries. How will we ever survive elementary school?
