Malia's heading to preschool!

Yesterday was Malia's first day of preschool!  What a totally different day it was for me than for Josh's 1st day last week.  There was no sadness about how my baby girl is growing up, or anxiety about all of the new things that she'll be experiencing.  Malia is a total pro and has the preschool thing down.  Plus I love this school so much, and I know that she will have so much fun - none of that real school pressure.

She's technically old enough for Kindergarten (by 6 days), but we feel like giving her a bonus year in preschool will only benefit her, and give her a great start for her educational career.  I learned that preschool's frown on the term "holding back" and much prefer the "bonus year," to get rid of any negative connotations with keeping your 4-year-old from starting Kindergarten.

We're all looking forward to this year, and the loving, nurturing, Christian environment that her preschool provides.  I know I've gone on and on.... sorry - just so happy for my baby girl :)
