Last week we went on an adventure with the Platts. I emphasize "adventure" because those crazy Platts are always going on these all-day, super-fun, wild day trips. Alvin had the day off after Thanksgiving, and his one request? To go on an adventure with the Platts! I couldn't have been more excited.
We decided to go to Balboa Island, and the weather was just gorgeous. Everything about the day was perfect, including how well the kids all got along!
I had to take a wider shot, just to show how pretty it is down here. I kept expecting to run into one of the O.C. Housewives, but no such luck.
Besides having lunch and exploring the pier, the kids played on the beach playground, rode the Ferris Wheel at the fun zone, played arcade games, got ice creams, AND we took our car on the ferry over to the island. I didn't get any pictures of the ferry, but the kids thought it was so cool. I totally remember taking that ferry as a kid with my parents. It's still pretty fun :)
