In the spirit of brevity, I promise to write a short Christmas update (as opposed to last year's). Since I blog year-round, I'll just link back to previous posts, so you can read as much, or as little, as you would like! How's that for an interactive Christmas letter?
Josh is 6 years old, in the 1st grade, and loving school. Malia is 5 years old, and she attends preschool 3 days a week. She loves it too. Micah is 3 years old, and he stays home with me. I love it!
Alvin continues his full-time job at the hospital and as the pastor of Veritas Calvary Chapel. He still loves to play golf when he can, surf a little, and spend as much time as he can with the kids. I started out the year mentoring 7 private school teachers getting their clear credential. In the fall I dropped down to 1 teacher, and now I'm officially done! My "free time" is now spent on trying to finish our home projects :)
We took our big vacation this year to Big Bear (tons of snow!), and spent most of our summer swimming and playing sports. We have been on a roller coaster journey to become foster parents this year, but it is a journey, and we are still moving forward. I am so excited to see what 2012 will hold (I cannot believe I just wrote those numbers - 2012! What?!?)
See? That was brief, yes? Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from the Velardes!
